Ruthine is an illustrator living in South West London. Her parents came to the UK many years ago, from Dominica and French Guyana.

She has a B.A. hons in Visual Art from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. Once upon a time she was  a pavement portrait artist and subsequently spent several years as an artist and animator in the games industry creating weird and wonderful creatures and environments. 

In 2021 she completed a two year illustration course: Pathways into Children's Publishing and now loves to work with pastels, pencils and paint as well as digitally.
